Trail Riding In the Black Hills
BHNF Motorized Trail Permits gain you authorization to ride on the Black Hills National Forest Trail System and Forest Service Roads. Located In the Mt Meadow Store are the Yearly and 7 day permits available for purchase.
South Dakota allows ATV and UTV use on roads and highways (except interstate), if your own ATV/UTV is licensed and road legal in your state. If it is not licensed in your state, a temporary license can be purchased at any South Dakota County Treasurers office. For Pennington County, call 605-394-2163.

Mt Meadow Resort is located on the US Forest Service Trail System with hundreds of miles of trails and unlimited riding opportunities. Trail #6001 comes out ON our property! Guests can check out awe-striking overlooks, the Silica Sand Mines, and even a few caves, all in a day of riding from our grounds!
